MDD Expo: the 2010 edition dedicated to manufacturers

A lot of you came to see us during the most recent MDD Expo on 30-31 March, to test Version 4 of our solutions, to discuss the launch of our new customers Provera and Franprix-Leader Price, or even just out of curiosity.


Also on the program was a Trace One-initiated conference dedicated to the manufacturer. Here is a summary of the highlights from that conference.


PRESENTATION OF THE PROCUREMENT PORTAL TARGETED TO MANUFACTURERS

 
Trace One presented a prototype of collaborative portal for managing purchasing between manufacturers and their suppliers.
This portal will involve the functions of purchasing, R&D and quality, facilitating the management of relationships with suppliers. The scope of the project covers the creation of a procurement repository, the management of contractual documents through customizable forms, and utilization in the enterprise (R&D, production facilities, etc.) of product data provided by the supplier.
As with all our products, we are actively seeking wide consultation to validate and improve our approach.

TRACE ONE PRESENTS VERSION 4 OF THE PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS MODULE

 
Trace One presented the new features in version 4 of the product specifications module, the result of change requests from user groups in the world of manufacturing. The result is an even more powerful and ergonomic version, currently rolling out at Provera. As requested by our users: it integrates simplified table-mode input, partial document revision, and facilitated change requests.


TESTIMONY FROM SILL GROUP

 
Christophe Quéré, Quality Manager for SILL group, presented activity at Sill generally, and his service in particular, where the Trace One product specifications module has been in continuous use since 2003. He reiterated key Trace One contributions, including not just time savings in creating and reviewing specifications, but even accelerating the time-to-signature of specifications.
