Food manufacturers save time and money developing private-label products with retailer Eroski using the full Trace One solution

- Eroski suppliers will be able to use the full private label product manufacturer and retailer collaboration platform from Trace One to process Pre-specifications, Product specifications, Packaging and Complaints

- Using these four Trace One software modules will enable Eroski and its supplier community to save time and money, and guarantee top quality and safety standards for consumers

June 15th, 2010 (Madrid) Trace One, the leading e-collaborative platform for private-label product development, quality and food safety, has announced that Eroski has set up the global solution from Trace One to boost its private-label product development through its food suppliers.

Eroski has thereby become Europe’s first retailer to choose Trace One’s full solution, and to start using its four modules, placing it at the avant-garde of collaborative work best practice with its suppliers.

By using Trace One’s global platform, Eroski – which is also Trace One’s first associate – is further deepening its already close ties with its private-label product suppliers. Using this comprehensive collaboration platform for private-label product manufacturers and retailers can increase product development management productivity by about 50% and cut time-to-market by one or two months.

The full Trace One solution encompassing the modules of Pre-Specifications, Product Specifications, Packaging and Complaints, will afford Eroski private-label suppliers a number of substantial advantages. They will:

- Save time keying in pre-specification data during the RFP phase, and while developing and clearing private-label product specifications
- Accelerate product packaging development
- Handle consumer complaints faster
- Reduce administrative workloads and use considerably less paper
- Liaise with manufacturers and retailers
- Guarantee private-label product quality and safety
- Process increasing dataflows more simply

The advantages for manufacturers and retailers are self-evident. AMC Quality Director Oscar J. Esteban, for instance, explains, “We feel Trace One is an amazing breakthrough that has spared us all the problems we had with paper documents – and saved us time.”

Trace One Ibérica Director Mickaël Devena rounds up, “Adopting Trace One’s global solution has put Eroski at the crest of the wave of European innovation for collaboration with private-label suppliers.
