Organic specialist Vitafrais chooses Trace One to develop its private label

Trace One is now supporting Vitafrais, a specialist retailer and a recognised player in the organic products market, in preparation for the expected rapid growth in its private label over the coming months. By doing so, Trace One is confirming its commitment to the specialist retail sector and its ability to adapt to meet the needs of mid-sized businesses. The Trace One solution will help Vitafrais to accelerate the development of its private label products.

Vitafrais: growth based on organic products

In a highly competitive environment, what sets Vitafrais apart from its rivals is its focus on highly differentiated and tailored organic products, distributed exclusively through more than 1,000 specialist independent organic stores in France. Vitafrais’ strategy is based on developing very high quality private label through its brands Laits Plaisirs (dairy products), Délices D’Ô (seafood), Potins Culinaires (catering) and Secrets d’Energie (dried fruits).

Vitafrais has just signed a service contract with Trace One in order to make time savings, meet organic constraints as effectively as possible and develop new products faster. The company’s product specifications, contracts and quality monitoring are the same as in classic distribution channels, a key point for competitiveness and development. Initially, the Trace One solution will be used to manage the specifications for more than 100 organic private label products, with many more set to follow in the future:
Our objective in signing up to the Trace One solution is to triple our number of product references over the coming months. We have therefore decided to put in place tools and practices to allow us to develop and manage higher volumes, while effectively controlling our growth,” explains Frédéric Grünblatt, CEO of Vitafrais.

Trace One: a tailored solution for specialty food retail

A partner to the retail trade and private label manufacturers for more than ten years, Trace One is now demonstrating its ability to help smaller operators address specific constraints: in the case of Vitafrais, Trace One has tailored its solution to the needs of this specialist distributor and the specific requirements of the organic market.

Vitafrais is using the Trace One Product Specifications module to switch the management of its private label product specifications from paper to an electronic system. Through this solution, Trace One is providing a tailored response to Vitafrais’ need to speed up the development of its private label products.

Accelerated market launches, faster revision of documents in the event of any regulatory changes, electronic signature and archiving of data are among the direct and practical benefits of the Trace One solution for Vitafrais and its 20 suppliers.
