Harmonised classification: proposed substances

On ECHA website has been published the following harmonised classification and labelling (CLH) proposals:

  • boric acid (EC 233-139-2 / 234-343-4, CAS 10043-35-3 / 11113-50-1); diboron trioxide (EC 215-125-8, CAS 1303-86-2); tetraboron disodium heptaoxide, hydrate (EC 235-541-3, CAS 12267-73-1); disodium tetraborate, anhydrous (EC 215-540-4, CAS 1330-43-4); orthoboric acid sodium salt (EC 237-560-2, CAS 13840-56-7); disodium tetraborate decahydrate (EC 215-540-4, CAS 1303-96-4); disodium tetraborate pentahydrate (EC 215-540-4; CAS 12179-04-3): the proposal, submitted by Sweden, seems to review the pre-existing harmonised classifications concerning the reproductive toxicity hazard of these substances.
  • methyl salicylate (EC 204-317-7; CAS 119-36-8): the proposal, submitted by France, would add the harmonised classification as follows: Acute Tox. 4, H302; Skin Sens. 1B, H317; Repr. 1B, H360D; Aquatic Chronic 3, H412.
  • isoxaflutole (ISO); 5-cyclopropyl-1,2-oxazol-4-yl α,α,α- trifluoro-2-mesyl-p-tolyl ketone (EC 604-222-4; CAS 141112-29-0): the proposal, submitted by Italy, would add to the pre-exiting harmonised classification the following hazard class/category: STOT RE 1, H372.
