Harmonised classification: new intentions

The Classification and Labelling (CLH) intentions register records proposals received by ECHA for new harmonised classification and labelling of substances. The CLH process starts when ECHA receives an intention to prepare a CLH dossier from the European Commission, a Member State competent authority (MSCA) or a manufacturer, importer or downstream user. Once the intention is received, ECHA publishes it in the intention register and a substance identity check is performed.

Currently, two harmonised classification and labelling intentions have been registered:

  • ECHA received an intention to prepare a CLH dossier from Belgium to classify the substance N-ethyl-N-[2-[1-(2-methylpropoxy)ethoxy]ethyl]-4-(phenylazo)aniline (EC 252-021-1, CAS 34432-92-3 as hazardous to the aquatic environment;
  • ECHA received an intention to prepare a CLH dossier from France to classify the substance Morpholine (EC 203-815-1, CAS 110-91-8) as acute toxicity and respiratory sensitisation.

Trace One is paying close attention to the evolving regulatory situation and will keep you updated on any new developments in this regard.
