European Union Modifies the limits for Fluxapyroxad in Persimmon and Mushrooms

On April 9th, 2024, the European Food Safety Authority published a scientific assessment on the “Modification of the existing maximum residue levels for fluxapyroxad” per Article 6 of Regulation (EC) No 396/2005.

The document summarizes the following points:

  • To amend the existing limits of Kaki/Japanese Persimmons and Mushrooms (0.01mg/kg); The proposed maximum level is established at 0.2mg/kg and Mushrooms at 0.3mg/kg;
  • The Residues of fluxapyroxad in commodities of animal origin were excluded;
  • The risk assessment concludes the safety of consumer health.
