On March 22, 2023, the National Institute of Quality of Peru proposed regulation on “Carbonated beverages (Soft drinks) Requirements”.
This Technical Standard specifies the following points:
- To establish the requirements of carbonated beverages in soft drinks;
- The rules apply to Metal, glass, or plastic containers (generally PET) ready for direct consumption;
- Applicable to Liquid mixtures intended to be diluted in carbonated water according to manufacturer's indications.
The draft is open for public comments until May 20, 2023.
