Turkey Amends Regulation on Pharmacologically Active Substances

On February 21, 2019, the Official Gazette of the Republic of Turkey published a new amendment on "Turkish food codex Regulation on residue limits and classification of pharmacologically active substances in foodstuffs of animal origin.“

Pharmacologically active ingredients and maximum residue limits in animal foods are reported in Annex I of the Turkish Food Codex published in the Official Gazette No. 30000 on March 7, 2017.

According to the amendment:

  • Limits changed for eprinomectin, fluazuron and isoflurane;
  • New active ingredients are added: alanine, boric acid and borates, doxycycline, flunixin, fluralan.
