Rolling out a PLM software upgrade across a global organization requires more than deploying a new version of the system. Companies also need to manage user expectations and support teams as they transition to the updated software, particularly when users are distributed across different locations.

Colin Lewis, IT Business Systems Analyst at Lindt, shares the company’s experience upgrading Trace One Devex PLM for a large number of users around the world. With users across the globe interested in moving to the new version, managing the transition and getting everyone onto the updated system were important parts of the upgrade process.

Colin describes the experience with the software upgrade as positive and highlights the support Lindt received in managing user expectations and moving its teams onto the new version. He also notes that users are much happier now that they are working with the newer version of the software.

In this video, Colin explains how Lindt approached a global PLM upgrade and the experience of transitioning its distributed user base to the new system.

“Our experience with the Devex upgrade was fantastic. We had a large number of users spread across the globe that were very interested in moving to the new version, and they really helped us manage the expectations and also get everyone onto the system.

It was really a positive experience, and our users are much happier now that they’re on the newer version of the software.”
