FDA Taiwan Latest Amendment to Food Additives Regulation

On February 22, 2021, the Food and Drug Administration of Taiwan published the “Standards for Specification, Scope, Application and Limitation of Food Additives.”

The scientific document describes the following key points:

• Update the scope and limits of C02 use.
• Update the specifications for CO2.
• The product can be used in various types of food according to the actual needs of the appropriate amount.
• Limited to food manufacturing or processing must be used.

 The regulation is effective from February 22, 2021.
