On February 22, 2021, the Food and Drug Administration of Taiwan published the “Standards for Specification, Scope, Application and Limitation of Food Additives.”
The scientific document describes the following key points:
- Update the scope and limits of C02 use.
- Update the specifications for CO2.
- The product can be used in various types of food according to the actual needs of the appropriate amount.
- Limited to food manufacturing or processing must be used.
The regulation is effective from February 22, 2021.
