Australia Sets Import Conditions for Korean Grapes

On April 05, 2023, the Australian Government - Department of Agriculture and Water Resources published the “Amended import conditions for Korean Grapes”.

The document indicates the following points:

• Updated import conditions of Korean Grapes published on the Australian Biosecurity Import Conditions (BICON);
• Inclusion of a New cold treatment requirement to support the current system;
• The cold treatment is to be performed before shipment in approved facilities or refrigerated reefers in transit;
• The treatment is to be performed according to the approved schedule listed in BICON.
• This notice affects importers and brokers of fresh grapes and Pathway Operations Cargo-Assessment and Inspections.
