Canada Introduces Maximum Residue Limits for Pesticides

In November, 2019, the Federal Health Department of Canada has published new limits on the following pesticides:

  • Cypermethrin: new maximum residue limits for aronia berries, salal berries, lingonberries, highbush blueberries, cloudberries, skirret roots, etc.;
  • Flutolanil: new residue limits for potatoes and peanuts;
  • Flumioxazin: modifications to limits on meat byproducts of sheep, of horses, meat of sheep,meat of cattle, fat of hogs, fat of poultry, tea oil plant seeds, fat of horses, meat of goats, fat of goats, etc. were introduced;

Changes have immediate effect.
