European Union (EU) Food Recalls of July 2020

On July 20, 2020, the European Union (EU) has recalled multiple food products, as notified in the Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF).
The following contaminants have been identified:
- Undeclared and unauthorised use of colour E 123 - amaranth in frozen snapper (2020.2945);
- Salmonella in sesame seeds from Nigeria (2020.2945);
- Salmonella enterica ser. Enteritidis in frozen mechanically separated (MSM) chicken meat from Spain (2020.2956);
- Aflatoxins in pistachio kernels from Iran, dispatched from Turkey (2020.2956);
