On August 22nd, 2022, the Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority published a regulation on the “Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code Schedule-20-Maximum residue limits Variation Instrument No. APVMA 4, 2022” (Amendment Instrument).
The document outlines the following changes:
- To include or change maximum residue limits related to agricultural and veterinary chemical products;
- The variation omits from each of the listed chemicals such as Fluopyram and Fluroxypyr, the food commodities, and their associated MRLs;
- The variation omits and substitutes the MRLs for Indoxacarb and Thiabendazole.
