The Korean Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MSDF) published new updates related to food safety:
- "Food And Livestock Safety Management Certification Criteria (No.2019-12)", regarding HACCP application in manufacturing, processing, cooking and distribution of livestock; the document was published on March 4, 2019 and entered into force on the same date, repealing Certification Criteria No. 2018-69;
- "Full Amendment (Draft) Regulations On Risk Assessment Methods And Procedures(No.2019-117)", that promotes the performance of risk assessments and toxicity tests to ensure the protection of the national health against hazardous substances used in foods, but also in medicines and cosmetics; the document was published on March 6, 2019 and comments are accepted up until March 26, 2019.
