On May 29, 2020 the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety of Korea released the "Standards and Specifications for Food Utensils, Containers and Packages (No. 2020-43)"
Changes involved are the following:
- Segmentation and maintenance of common manufacturing standards
- Clarification of recycling standards for synthetic resins
- Maintenance of common standards, specifications for each application, and compliance judgment
- Improvement of testing methods for utensils, containers, and packaging
The document repeals the Standard (No. 2019-2) from January 09, 2019 and enters into force from the date of its publication.
