Mexico Integrates the List of Food Additives and Adjuvants with New Limits on Enzymes

On April 1, 2019, the Mexican Secretarìa De Salud published the new “Amendment of Agreement that determines additives and adjuvants in food, beverages and food supplements, their use and health standards: Annex VI – Enzymes.“
With this amendment phospholipase and mannanase are limited in their use as aids in the manufacture of bakery products and instant coffee processing, respectively.
Changes to Annex VI are effective from April 1, 2019.
