On March 17, 2020, the Singapore Food Agency (SFA) has published a circular on maximum limits for multiple contaminants as marine biotoxins, inorganic arsenic and methanol in food commodities.
Among others, the following food commodities and contaminants are involved:
- Bivalve molluscs: paralytic shellfish poison (PSP), diarrhetic shellfish poisons (DSP), amnesic shellfish poisons (ASP), brevetoxins (PbTXs), azaspiracids (AZA)
- Fish: histamine and inorganic arsenic
- Red wine, white wine and fortified wine: methanol
Limits will effect from April 1, 2020.
