Thailand Proposes to Develop Regulatory Framework on Alternative Plant-based Protein

The draft summarizes the following points:

  • The Protein alternative available in the market involves products from Micro-organisms, Insects, Cultured meat, and Plant-based products;
  • Thailand lacks specific guidelines for monitoring and controlling the security of alternative protein sources;
  • The study aims on the current Production, Import and Regulations governing alternative protein food products.

Last public comments are valid until June 7th,2024.
