Manufacturers face a dual challenge: ensuring global compliance while meeting national-level requirements. What’s allowed at the EU level may be restricted, or labeled differently, under local rules, making timely, country-specific insight essential. As global food safety regulations become more nuanced and localized, companies need agile, scalable regulatory compliance management software solutions to keep pace.
Trace One Regulatory Compliance continues to meet this challenge head-on—expanding its regulatory coverage and enhancing platform usability to help compliance professionals navigate evolving rules with greater confidence and speed.
“I appreciate the tool is updated on a frequent basis. I don’t have to worry about anything because I know that Trace One will give me all the new legislation shortly after being issued,” said a Trace One Regulatory Compliance user.
Building on earlier updates to EU and U.S. state-level tracking, we’ve expanded national-level data, extending coverage in the EU and Central America, and introduced new features to streamline everyday compliance.
Why This Expansion Matters
Demand for national-level coverage is growing, especially across the EU and Central America, where local standards often go beyond broader regulatory frameworks. For example, while the EU provides union-wide rules, individual countries may enforce stricter requirements, such as labeling regulations for products like milk chocolate.
Without visibility into these national variations, manufacturers risk delays and non-compliance. By expanding access to country-specific regulations, Trace One enables faster, more accurate compliance assessments, helping businesses reduce risk and make confident, informed decisions in every market they serve.
We’ve expanded national-level regulatory data for 9 EU countries, including Germany, Spain, and Sweden—three high-priority EU markets for global manufacturers. This includes retrospective data access going back five years, plus real-time monitoring of future changes. In Central America, coverage now includes 5 countries, among them key exporting nations like Costa Rica, Guatemala, and Honduras. U.S. state-level bill tracking has also been added to our regulatory compliance monitoring software, offering enhanced visibility into pending regulations that may affect product eligibility and market entry.
These enhancements are designed to reduce complexity and manual effort, helping regulatory teams streamline queries, automate translations, and make more informed decisions faster.
EU National Coverage
For EU countries, including France, Germany, Spain, and Sweden, we’ve expanded our library to include key general food-related regulations. As part of our ongoing monitoring of food industry regulatory compliance developments, we also highlight recent and upcoming changes that may impact your business. Changes such as two substances relevant to the cosmetic and personal care sectors—Methyl Trimethicone and Tetrasiloxane—were added to the EU REACH Candidate List for Authorization on June 25th due to their classification as very persistent and very bioaccumulative (vPvB). These include:
- 1,1,1,3,5,5,5-heptamethyl-3-[(trimethylsilyl)oxy]trisiloxane (CAS 17928-28-8)
- Decamethyltetrasiloxane (CAS 141-62-8)
These ingredients are expected to be either banned or restricted to impurity levels in future formulations. Businesses in the cosmetic and personal care industries should evaluate potential impacts on compliance and product development strategies.
