US Issues Notification on Standards for Soybeans

On July 14, 2023, the US Agriculture Marketing Agency published a regulation on revising the “Standards for Soybeans” per 5 U.S.C. 551 et seq., amending regulations, 7 CFR part 800 and part 810, of the United States Grain Standards Act.
The scope of the document highlights the following points:
- Removing soybeans of other colors (SBOC) as an official factor;
- Revising Grades and grade requirements for soybeans;
- To ensure effectiveness and quality requirements of grain moving in the value chain;
- The scientific study indicates that SBOC does not affect soybean quality;
The regulation will enter into force on September 01st, 2023.
